Everything you need to know about caring for your Votch watch and understanding your warranty cover.

Welcome to Votch

Votch is a UK based brand creating simple, timeless watches designed without the use of animal skins.

When our founder Laura transitioned from vegetarian to vegan, she wanted to ensure that not only what she ate, but what she wore too, was free from unnecessary harm. After struggling to find a suitable vegan replacement for a broken watch strap, the idea for Votch was born.

Every Votch watch is made using high-quality, eco-conscious materials, and a percentage of our profits are donated to our charity of the season.

Setting Your Watch

To set the time:

1. Pull the crown out

2. Turn the crown to adjust the time

3. Push the crown fully back in

Your watch is now ready to wear.

Water Resistance

Your Votch watch has a water resistance rating of 3ATM.

This means it is splash resistant but not waterproof.

Please avoid:

• Showering or bathing

• Washing up

• Swimming

• Submerging your watch in water

Damage caused by water exposure outside of these limits is not covered under warranty.

Plating & Finish Care

We use high-quality gold and rose gold plating across our collections. As with all plated finishes, some natural wear may occur over time.

To help maintain the finish:

• Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, oils and moisturisers

• Apply products before putting your watch on

• Store your watch safely when not in use

Plating wear varies depending on use and care. Re-plating services are often available through local jewellers.
Plating wear is not covered under warranty.

Batteries

Our watches use standard batteries with an average lifespan of approximately 12 months.

Important notes:

• Attempting to replace the battery yourself may damage internal components

• Opening the case back yourself may invalidate your warranty

We recommend battery replacements are carried out by a qualified local jeweller.

Strap Care & Changes

Vegan Leather Straps

Our straps are made from vegan leather, ensuring no animals are harmed in the production of your watch.

Please note:

• Oils, perfumes, make-up and creams may stain straps

• Indigo dyes and pen ink can transfer, especially onto lighter colours

Cleaning:
For everyday dirt, use mild soap and water.
For ink-based stains, clean as soon as possible using rubbing alcohol (surgical spirit).

Changing Your Strap

All Votch straps feature quick-release pins.

To change your strap:

• Pull the exposed pin on the back of the strap to release it

• Insert the new strap and release the pin once in position

Straps are not covered under warranty.

Condensation

In rare cases, condensation may appear under the glass when your watch is exposed to sudden temperature changes.

This usually resolves itself within a few days.
Please do not attempt to dry your watch manually, as this may cause damage.

Tips for Loving Your Votch

• Clean and polish gently with a soft, non-abrasive cloth

• Keep your watch away from strong magnetic sources such as speakers and fridges

• Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in

• Store your watch safely in the pouch provided when not in use

Limited Warranty

All Votch watches come with a 12-month limited warranty from the date of purchase.

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

What’s Covered

Under normal use, this warranty covers defects in workmanship and internal components for 12 months.

If a fault occurs during this period, Votch will, at its discretion:

• Repair the watch, or

• Replace it with the same model or a suitable alternative of equal value

Making a Warranty Claim

You will need:

• Proof of purchase (your order number, name or email address will help us to locate this)

• Confirmation of purchase date and retailer

Please include this documentation when sending your watch to us.

Repairs, Costs & Shipping

• Repairs or replacements under warranty are provided free of charge

• Customers may be responsible for shipping and packaging costs

• If the battery is depleted at the time of repair, a replacement fee may apply

We recommend using insured shipping, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit.

When the Warranty Does Not Apply

This warranty does not cover:

• Batteries

• Straps, bracelets, cases or glass

• Accidental damage, misuse, tampering or general wear and tear

• Water damage unless the watch is clearly marked as water resistant

• Tarnishing or plating wear

The warranty will be void if the watch has been opened, repaired or cleaned by anyone other than Votch or an authorised service provider.

Electronic Disposal

Please dispose of your Votch responsibly.

Some components, including batteries, can be harmful if not recycled correctly.
Do not dispose of your watch with household waste.

Electronic components can be recycled through your local recycling facility.

Please keep small parts away from children and animals.
